Up For sale is a New in the box Exoto 1964 Cobra Daytona Coupe 1:18 scale die-cast model, #RLG18001. This item has been opened only twice.

Once when I received it and the other time was when I took the pictures for this listing. This item comes with the original boxes and wrapping paper. This GT race car in its first year won the grueling 1964 twenty-four hour endurance race at Le Mans. It can not get any more exciting to see Dan Gurney driving Carroll Shelby's blue Cobra to victory lane.

Better yet, the only American car to ever be in the World GT Championship and win at Reims, France on July 4th, 1965. The actual car took a little over 90 days to build and it took Exoto over two years to put together. This car sets new standards of detail and precision which makes it a lasting tribute to one of the most important race cars of all time.

The valve stems were machined out of aluminum and Exoto even went to the expense of photo etching the radiator, license plate and oil cooler. Doors and hood are all opening functions. No decals, all racing graphics are painted on. The highly detailed engine is fully wired and plumbed. A simulated bungie cord secures spare tire.

Steering wheel is fully functional. All body panel openings are covered in a real wire mesh. The rubber-like Goodyear Blue Streak tires have a genuine tread pattern. Tilting hood with genuine metal chains.

An eleven step paint finish. Over nine inches in length and designed in 1:18 scale. Hand assembled with over 140 parts. Full die-cast body and chassis. This Cobra Daytona Coupe has everything you could ever want in a die-cast model.
