This is for an original souvenir program for the Seventh Annual Winter Daytona Beach Classics which would last from February 12 through 26 on the sands of Daytona Beach. The events would be similar to what we call Speed Weeks today, with the only exception being everything revolved around low tide during the 2 weeks of racing. The big events would be run at the end of the schedule with Friday February 24.

Being the 125 mile Modified and Sportsman Race (31 laps), February 25. 160 mile Convertible Race (39 laps) and Sunday February 26. Being the 160 mile Grand national Circuit Championship Race (39 laps). The convertible race would be the first ever held by NASCAR and Curtis Turner would beat Fireball Roberts and 26 other drivers to the checkered flag over the 4.1 mile road course and 160 laps. The race was actually shortened by two laps due to high tide on the beach.

One of the first African American drivers, Charlie Scott would finish 19. An amazing book in great condition that is jam packed with photos, ads, biographies, results from different tracks over the years and just about everything you could hope for in a single book.

Over 100 pages of racing history from NASCAR.
